Today speaks of my hometown...literally. This painting was a commission for the owner of Home Town Cafe in the small town I grew up in. The owner is also related to me...a little distant but still related. It was presented to her by my Mom as she and the owner share the same birthday. I am told she loves it and will be proudly displaying it in her home.

I have lived away from my hometown for 45 years now. I still miss a lot about growing up just 2 1/2 miles out of town. Whoever says, "You can't go back home" are wrong. I love eating here each chance I get when I am back in my hometown.
