Wow! It's Christmas Day. A time to celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. A time to celebrate with our families and friends. A time to remember those we love who are no longer sitting around the tree, no longer sharing too much food but just the right amount of laughter. The kids asking for the 100th time when are we going to open presents. A time to make new memories and cherish them in our hearts. I thank you for supporting my artwork and my endeavor to grow this small business. I could not do it without you. My greatest wish today is that you are happy and well. I am looking forward to an awesome 2026 and send my wish for your new to bright and prosperous.

This holiday greeting card has brought with it our first touch of winter in Alabama. It was 30 degrees this morning when I got out of bed. Brrrr...really wanted to crawl back in and snuggle under the warm covers longer. I know this newsletter will arrive in your inbox on Thursday, the 13th, however, I am writing it today on one of our most important holidays, Veterans Day. I thank every servicemember, no matter what position you served, for your devotion, dedication, sacrifice and love for the United States of America. For those still serving I pray for you every day. For your health, your safety and the loved ones you've had to leave behind to complete your service. Thank you!!! Melinda

I have been busy this month getting ready for art exhibitions. I have piece chosen to be in a special annual exhibition at a special location in my state capitol. I am over the moon about it! The picture shown is just one piece that I entered into my local art guild's fall exhibition. They won't be available for sale before November. Working on ideas for cards for the holiday season so stay tuned. Live creatively, Melinda

Today speaks of my hometown...literally. This painting was a commission for the owner of Home Town Cafe in the small town I grew up in. The owner is also related to me...a little distant but still related. It was presented to her by my Mom as she and the owner share the same birthday. I am told she loves it and will be proudly displaying it in her home. I have lived away from my hometown for 45 years now. I still miss a lot about growing up just 2 1/2 miles out of town. Whoever says, "You can't go back home" are wrong. I love eating here each chance I get when I am back in my hometown. Hope this brings up fond memories for you and your hometown. I spent three days recently in the Buffalo River Park in NW Arkansas. The area was so beautiful. My head is filled with so many sights that I want to put on canvas. There are not enough hours in the days. I hope you are filling your summer days with the beauty and wonder of nature. "Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty if only we have the eyes to see them." John Ruskin Happy Summer! Melinda
